Alex Clayden is one of Monzo's Heads of Financial Crime RIsk, overseeing global signup, screening, ABC/ATE, and digital assets risk across three countries and counting. With over a decade of financial crime experience, Alex has led transformation programmes at Tier 1 and challenger banks alike to ensure both compliance and innovation. Alex has a particular interest in the growing challenges of identity fraud, synthetic identity, deepfakes, on-chain fraud and criminals' use of the dark web. Outside work, Alex serves as a trustee for multiple arts and culture charities.
