Hammad Riaz joined Visa in 2021 and is a Director in Visa's Risk and Security solutions business where he currently leads account-to-account (A2A) risk solutions. Hammad's focus is helping financial institutions protect customers against account-to-account risks such as authorized push payment scams. In his role, Hammad supports development of solutions such as Visa Protect, which provides banks with the ability to detect and prevent A2A fraud in real-time, at scale, using Visa's AI platforms. Hammad has also been part of key industry initiatives in this space such Pay.UK's industry fraud detection pilot in 2024 Hammad's professional career spans across AI product development, data science and consulting. Prior to Visa, Hammad was part of financial crime technology advisory practices at consulting firms such as EY and Deloitte.
