Isabelle Brees is Head of Fraud & Cybersecurity Belgium at ING, where she leads end-to-end fraud management across prevention, detection, investigations, operations, and transformation. She oversees a broad organisation of fraud experts and works closely with technology teams and international hubs to deliver scalable, resilient capabilities. With over 7 years of experience in banking and over 5 years in financial crime prevention and fraud, Isabelle has a strong track record in operational excellence and transformation. She previously led the Fraud Target Operating Model, where she drove the transition to a 24/7 fraud operations setup and scaled capacity through close collaboration with ING's anti-fraud hubs. Earlier in her career, she contributed to automation and straight-through processing initiatives within KYC. Isabelle is also a member of ING's Global Fraud Management Committee and actively contributes to industry collaboration through Febelfin's Anti-Online Fraud Taskforce. She is deeply committed to a human-centric approach to fraud. Isabelle believes that in moments of vulnerability, strong protection must be combined with genuine empathy to rebuild trust. She is also a strong voice for leadership equity, emphasising that the final barrier for women today lies not in opportunity, but in achieving a better balance of responsibilities beyond the workplace.
