James has been involved in Regulatory Compliance for over 25 years, including 5 years working for the Guernsey regulator. Throughout that time, he worked in a wide range of senior Compliance and MLRO roles within or supporting large numbers of Channel Islands regulated and legal businesses and after moving to the UK in 2011, spent the 10 years as the Compliance Manager of a Cornish based CFD broker and then a IFA firm before moving into Crypto Compliance at the end of 2021. He currently acts as Compliance Manager and MLRO for UK FCA Registered crypto exchange Coinpass.com. He is a Fellow with the International Compliance Association and was also for many years a Chartered Member of the CISI, having sat for several years on their Level 4 Regulatory Exam panel. Prior to moving into the financial sector in 2000, James served for 10 years in the 1st Royal Tank Regiment and outside of Compliance, he is an avid Cornish Pilot Gig rower and Trustee of Cornish based veterans Gig rowing club.
