Mike Gallagher is an accomplished Banker with thirty years of total banking experience including over twenty years as a Compliance and BSA Leader and Officer. Mike is currently serving as the Chief BSA Officer of the digitally based VersaBank USA which is headquartered in Minneapolis Minnesota. Mike currently holds four banking related certifications with the CAMS, CCAS, CRCM, and the CAFP certifications.

Mike's banking experience includes leadership positions in commercial banking, lending, leasing, private banking, retail banking, operations, audit, loan review, whole bank compliance, and BSA. Mike has honed his expertise in anti-money laundering (AML), audit management, and regulatory compliance over these last two decades, during which he has held various leadership roles including as a BSA/OFAC Officer, demonstrating a commitment to risk management and operational excellence.

Mike is known for his strategic approach to problem-solving and team leadership, fostering a culture of compliance within organizations. Beyond his technical skills, Mike is passionate about coaching and developing talent in the banking sector which is evidenced by the Twin City BSA Peer group that now has over 150 banking members from all over Minnesota and includes local and national law enforcement members.

Mike is active in national peer groups, ABA sub teams for digital banking assets/stablecoins and is passionate about speaking in webinars and on national conference panels.

Born in Chicagoland area Mike is a suffering Chicago sports fan.
